Don't forget the there is a WP version as well that I assume will need to be cross platform. Remember Destiny cross platform achievement works because the achievements list are exactly the same on the 360 and the XB1. The extra Win 10 achievements were challenges in Win 8.1. Also the achievements lists are different, Win 8.1 has 20 achievements Win 10 has 40 achievements. My Marathon achievement progress from earlier in July carried over and I go that on the 31st. None of the my progress on the 5 games carried over to the Win 10 achievement tracker despite having 100 wins in two game types. I had a partially completed star club in Win 8 which I completed in Win 10 and unlocked the achievements. I redid the star club achievements and I am working on the 100 games of each type. You would have expected everything to unlock if they are auto-unlocks and they didn't. However, only achievements for the badges of the daily challenges unlocked.
When I imported my save on the 28th July all my stats carried over. You can see what did and did not unlock on the 29th when I imported my 100% completed Win 8,1 save into Win 10. Check out my homepage and the Win 8.1 and Win 10 solitaire achievements and date stamps for the Win 10 achievements. The cross platform achievement auto-unlock sounds like wishful thinking or something that's coming in a later patch.
